Collaboration Project: Veuve Clicquot

This design is for the proposed Veuve Clicquot champagne bar situated in the affluent suburb of Sandton. The brand’s objective is to attract younger consumers by creating the sense of “accessible luxury”. This is achieved by incorporating luxury materials in a contemporary design. The concept of this design is a metaphorical collision between a comet, a signature symbol for the brand, and a glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne. This is to demonstrate the glass ceiling Madame Clicquot shattered as a woman in her era. The use of “cosmic zonings” relate back to the concept with a shattered glass ceiling, the collision of the comet entrance with a spilt champagne bar area, asteroid ring-shaped seating, a cosmic ray surrounding the sun VIP booth and comet particle flooring.
