THE STORY

My name is Jemma Rose. I am an Interior designer with ambition and dedication. With a BA in interior design from Vega, I graduated in 2022. I have a wide range of skills, including modelling and rendering for interior design, design development, and architectural draughting.

After three years at Vega, the question of "Who are you as a designer?" comes up a lot. I am a designer who is passionate about sustainability and who believes that creativity has no limitations, but I can honestly say that I absolutely embrace discovering who I am as a designer over time through exploration. I intend to never stop investigating, comprehending, and studying the design cultures.

I'd like to find out more about other design cultures around the world and help spread South Africa's design tradition there. Growing Spaces is a business I founded. It is an interior design brand that promotes growth in the design industry as well as for diverse spaces.

Growing Spaces aims to transform a room that is perceived as being lifeless, uninteresting, or empty into one that is powerful, attractive, and meaningful. Even the most remote places have potential and beauty, according to Growing Spaces. Growing Spaces puts a lot of effort into making sure that each solution they come up with keeps the client firmly at the center, regardless of the project's size.

"KEEP YOUR HEAD ABOVE THE CLOUDS"

Completed Varsity Project

Focusing on Inclusive Design. Since inclusive design is concerned with serving disabled people's needs as effectively as possible, it places people with disabilities at its centre. The different profiles must be carefully considered while designing a space in order to make it accessible. The idea of "Keeping your head above the clouds" suggests that it is possible to maintain an optimistic outlook on life and a cheerful disposition despite hardship, struggle, and difficult circumstances. Growing Spaces examines how to design a place that accomplishes that.
